Problem: During the middle of winter, we received a call from Hastings homeowner, Frank M. Frank told our customer service representative that his home wasn’t reaching the temperature on his thermostat, and he heard his furnace turning on and off frequently. We quickly sent over Zach, one of our technicians, to figure out what was causing the problem.

Solution: When Zach got there, he began to inspect Frank’s furnace system to find the issue. Zach first checked the thermostat and found an irregularity with the wiring, which was causing the furnace to short cycle (turn on and off frequently). Zach fixed the wiring, then checked other important furnace parts to make sure they were in good shape. Before he left, Zach made sure the furnace was delivering Frank’s desired temperature, and gave Frank some recommendations on how to get the most out of his furnace throughout the remaining winter months.
