Resolved an active leak from a loose bathroom sink drain assembly in the main floor powder bath. The existing pop-up and drain components were fractured and leaking under use. After the homeowner shut off the main water, we installed their customer-provided Pfister two-handle lavatory faucet and matching pop-up assembly on the pedestal sink, then upgraded the under-sink piping with a new 1½” P-trap and fresh 30″ faucet supply lines. Water was slowly turned back on and the system was purged of air. The sink and overflow were tested under full flow multiple times while the cabinet and piping were manually and visually checked for leaks. Work area was cleaned and the homeowner was shown how to remove the aerator. Service fee was waived with repairs; payment was collected via Visa.

After testing both fixtures, the leak was traced to an older upstairs toilet that was discharging water at the back of the bowl every flush. We installed a new round-front toilet, set and sealed it properly, and test-flushed multiple times while monitoring the ceiling below to confirm the leak was resolved. The existing single-handle Moen tub/shower valve was inspected and options were provided for a future valve, tub spout, and showerhead upgrade if desired by the homeowner.

Repiped the lines from the basement up to the second-floor bathroom and kitchen with new ½” piping, added new quarter-turn shutoff valves, and reconnected existing fixtures. Installed a new single-handle Moen shower valve, raised shower arm, and flexible handshower, then sealed all trim with silicone and tested everything under use to verify strong water pressure and no leaks.
