Committed to your comfort for every water softener installation

Hard water can damage appliances, dry out skin, and leave spots on dishes. It can also raise water heating costs. A water softener can turn hard water into softened water that is easier on pipes and equipment. MSP helps most homeowners with the full softener installation process. We help choose the right water softener, explain water softener cost, and set the unit in the right location. We connect the water supply, main water line, drain line, and power supply so the new system runs as it should.

What factors does MSP consider when determining price?

The water softener selected

Some water softeners cost more because they have larger tank size, higher grain capacity, or advanced filtration for iron and other contaminants. The type of softener and brine tank, salt use, and power source all affect price. Our plumbers explain hardness levels, hardness minerals, water quality, and how the resin bed and regeneration cycles work so the right system is chosen.

The plumber you hire

Professional installation protects the plumbing system and helps avoid leaks or clogged pipes. MSP sends licensed plumbers who understand water line layout, main line access, fittings, and valves. They also set a proper regeneration schedule for the home and explain future maintenance such as checking salt level and cleaning the brine tank.

Our 5-star water softener installation process

We confirm the appointment request

Most homeowners start with a phone call or online form. MSP confirms the visit time and shares the date. A reminder call is sent on the day of the visit.

We send a licensed plumber to the home

A licensed plumber arrives and reviews the plumbing setup, main water line, and existing plumbing. They look for a right location near a power supply, nearby drain, and main water line access. If there is an old unit, it is checked at this time.

We give an upfront quote for the work

MSP installs a range of water softener systems. The plumber explains each option, including tank size, grain capacity, regeneration cycles, and water softener cost. Once a system is chosen, a fixed price quote is shared. Financing options can be discussed if needed.

We install the water softener

Over 100 years of plumbing experience goes into every water softener installation we perform for our customers. So you can rest easy knowing we'll get the job done right the first time around. Once the job is complete, we'll test the system, share valuable insights on how to care for it, and thoroughly clean the work site before we leave.

Customer Testimonials

★★★★★Google review

We have been working with MSP for a little over 6 years now. Every technician we have worked with has been professional, punctual, friendly, and explains things to us in a manner we understand. We have had them install a new furnace, AC and water softener, and sump pump, and have been very satisfied with their work. Blake was just out to take a look at the main plumbing to our house, and was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Mike just installed a new air purifying system and cleaned our furnace blower...he was very professional as well and knowledgeable.
